This graphic breaks down the funding sources for the Cincinnati streetcar. Of note is that sources dedicated to repay City bonds are not “feeders” for General Fund services and therefore do not directly affect them.
This is a really nice, legible way to show the breakdown of funding that people will understand. Yes, the streetcar is expensive, but it’s a long-term investment that will greatly benefit the city of Cincinnati.
I agree, it does seems like a lot of money, but the payback long term will be immense. Businesses will increase and neighborhoods will improve all around the stops (think of every other city with transit). A streetcar will definitely attract people to live in and enjoy our city–Cincinnati it such a diverse, great place!
