Anderson Days Recap

We had a few group members at the Anderson Days festival on July 23rd. Overall it was a very exciting and friendly environment. Tons of games, booths, beer, festival food, a live band, and even roller coaster rides. The Anderson people were friendly and were interested in what our shirts meant. One guy joked, “oh yeah, i love the Transformers movies.” On a more serious note, people thought it was great that we weren’t only there supporting the streetcar, but we were there to start a discussion about transit in general whether you were a supporter or not. Although, all the people we talked to were supporters. I was surprised at first to realize that so many people knew about the streetcar plan already and they seemed positive about it. Also, people gladly took our stickers and seemed eager to check out the website to see what was going on online.

Tons of families were in attendance, tons of teens because the high school was right next door. The live band was really really great, so lots of people were crowded around that and were just enjoying their time. We joined in on the crowd and got to listen to them play some awesome 90′s music, and had some cold beers and funnel cake. It was a great time!
